====Things I’ve Learned==== * Python has no conditional expressions (but does in 2.5) * svn rocks my socks * Eclipse doesn’t suck as much as I thought * [[http://www.nowpublic.com|NowPublic.com]] exists and they wanted to use my iPhone photos * I let them * I feel like a photojournalist * I’m not quitting my day job * I can really teach myself, even in one weekend of cramming * Writing dreams down can be awesome and motivational

    Perhaps you already know this, but your crossposting to livejournal isn’t working. It picks up post titles, but the only text is “crossposted to photonzero”.

    eclipse is pretty damn good. why did you think it sucked?

    eclipse sucks because you have to wait forever for it to start up, which means don’t ever shut down your computer :). I’ve also had it crash on me a handful of times now, but it’s not bad enough to make me stop. I use an emacs plugin for keyboard commands (i’m sure there’s one for vi), which makes it much more awesome.

    Nowpublic used one of my photos too. I think this may be the end of paid photojournalism… (well, not really, but it’ll be much harder now to get paid for it)
