JyteCheck

Been trying to learn a little ruby and the ruby way. And been playing with Jyte. This is the result jytecheck

The first write was slow. This rewrite is shorter and much faster. Sure, it basically scrapes the page, but hey, it’s kinda cool.

Cheap hacks FTW.

Valentine’s

Best Valentine’s Day in a long while. Yes, I spent most of it coding. No, I didn’t have a date. I felt the most loved around noon though, when I got this:

Barak
P.P.'s book is in Priority Mail today...

Happy V'day
Dad

Dad and I had been talking about what I should do for my EE225B project and he recommended I look at this book for what I was thinking about doing. Except it’s such a good book, it’s checked out at all the UCs fairly indefinitely (at one UC, it’s even checked out until Jan ‘08). So he sent his copy to me; I didn’t even ask. Sure enough, today at noon it was waiting at my door. Yeah. My family kinda rocks. :)

New Blog (and why you won’t care)

So now I’ve made a new blog. Heck, it’s all part of my multi-faceted plan to have a real place on the web.

I’ve worked all day and all night to put my new page together. And I’m still in a hack-mode, sort of, so expect that things might change — but I have the basics in place.

The best part: it’s less filling, yet tastes great.

On my LJ friends list? All my posts are crossposted to my LJ so it’s as if I never left.

On Facebook? I’ll now be sharing some of my posts as notes with y’all.

If you use an RSS reader, I’ll ask that you update my feed to http://photonzero.com/blog/feed/ — but that’s because you’re already cool enough, and you’ll get more out of it.

Also on my new page are photos and the like — all sorts of stuff about me, in my little corner of the web so come check it out

A more technical look at hack-mode will be hitting P0/LJ soon enough.
